Life & Mental Health Counseling
QHS International College provides students with integrated life and mental health counseling. Such a friendly and caring environment allows students to focus on their studies, participate in extra-curriculum activities, and enjoy their school life.
New Student Service
QHS provides international students with the following services: airport shuttle; assistance in setting up bank accounts; Pre trip counseling; Orientation, and Communication with parents. The teacher also provides assistance in applying for Toronto City Library Card, Toronto City Public Transport Card and textbooks purchase. Multilingual native language services may be available upon request.
Medical & Insurance
Every student is required to purchase medical insurance. QHS provides assistance in purchasing medical insurance for international students. After enrolling in the school, teacher will take care of the student. The teacher is assigned to take the student to see the doctor, accompany and help with the translation throughout the whole process, and keep in touch with the parent at any time to inform the examination results, if the need arises.
Student Life and Activities
QHS organizes a wealth of cultural activities specifically for international students far away from home, such as the Spring Festival party to celebrate the Chinese New Year in February, Skiing in March, visitation to the Royal Ontario Museum in April, and Canada’s Wonderland in May.
Study Permit & Visa
QHS has teachers who specialize in providing counseling services in study permit renewal and visa extension. The teacher will assist students in filling out application forms, preparing application documents and in further communication with the immigration bureau.
Food & Cafeteria
QHS’s cafeteria is run by experienced professionals to provide students with well-balanced nutritious meals. The meals are mainly Chinese, with meat, vegetables, and fruits. Western-style simple meals can also be made on-site at the request of students. From Monday to Friday, in addition to three meals a day, the school cafeteria also serves morning and afternoon snacks. The dinner in the school residence is in the form of a buffet to ensure that the students living in the dormitory eat well.
